A Hundred Thousand Welcomes to you from the folks at Shinamore Farms. The word "shinamore" is loosely derived from the Irish for "Our Good Fortune". Take a look around at what Shinamore Farms can provide for you. Let the quality and great taste of our products be your good fortune, too.
Our MissionOur goal at Shinamore Farms is to provide the best quality beef, chevon and eggs that you can get today. We promise to produce foods that taste like you remember it should taste. We promise that our animals have been raised on an all natural diet without the use of hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. Shinamore beef cattle and meat goats absolutely will not be put through a feed yard. All animals will be raised on pasture. Our total focus in raising the animals is on how we can make them taste better.
Company Profile
Chuck and Nancy Sullivan carved out Shinamore Farms from a dense huisache thicket just a few miles north of Chappell Hill, Texas. This land dates itself back to the original Impressario Grants provided to Stephen F. Austin by the government of Mexico. We now look out on several green rolling pastures and a magnificent new fruit orchard. The beautiful setting of the Texas Bluebonnet Country is the backdrop for the farm. Today, we hand raise specially selected cattle and goats for the finest tasting meat you can find. Soon you will see the Shinamore Quality Brand expand to include naturally grown Texas fruits and vegetables. Our animals go straight from pasture to freezer and never get near a
feed lot. Animals that go through feed yards are overfed on high fat feed
in the last few weeks or months of their lives in an attempt to rapidly
increase their scale weight and to disguise lower quality meat with a layer of fat. This does nothing to improve the quality or taste of the meat. All it does is increase the weight for sale.
Shinamore Farms will never send our cattle out to a feed yard. We
care about the quality of our beef. We sell our pasture raised beef directly to consumers in quarters freshly dressed and cut. Instead of fighting over who gets what cuts we have the butcher cut the meat so that it can be easily divided into equal weights and value. Prices are seasonal and are based upon the weight of the animal at time of slaughter. We only sell 10 - 15 beef quarters per year and many of those are already spoken for. Hurry today to reserve yours. Contact us to find out what today's prices are. Our goats are bred on one of the Shinamore Farms to control the quality of the meat. Primarily Boer Goat genetics create a superior meat. Select kids are available on the hoof but most are raised for chevon with a dressed weight of 80 pounds or more. Our meat is incredibly lean and flavorful. Serve it in your deli or on your plate at home. Whether you use it for your own consumption or for resale you cannot beat Shinamore Farms Chevon. Prices fluctuate based upon weight, quality and availability. Call today to see what is available. Looking for a special treat? Do you have company staying over and you want to serve a special breakfast? How about cooking up some of Shinamore Farms Free Range Yard Eggs. What an incredible difference in flavor!
